Bloustein Spring 2027 Virtual Mock Interviewing Clinic

We are seeking Mock Interviewers who are experienced professionals (preferably who interview/have interviewed) candidates for their open internships and jobs and who work in the field to 'practice' interview a small group of graduate students during the month of February 2027. We will do our best to pair you with student(s) who are interested in working in the field/organization/sector in which you work.

WHEN: At any point during the month of February 2027. You select a date or dates that work best for your schedule.

WHERE: You will interview them virtually (on a platform of your choice - MS Teams, Zoom, etc), or if you are close to Bloustein and prefer, we can provide a room for you. You can also elect to have the student interview at your office (if nearby and easily accessible by public transportation or walkable). We will do our best to pair you with student(s) who are interested in working in the field in which you work.

HOW MANY STUDENTS? Your choice - between 1 and 5

HOW IT WORKS: Our recommendation is that you set a chunk of time on your calendar (MAYBE ONE OR TWO DATES) for students to drop in for 30 minute interviews/feedback. We suggest 10-15 minutes of interviewing and the remaining time feedback/discussion around the interview. We will introduce you to the student(s) via email on or around the last week of January 2027, and ask them to send you their resume and ask a job description in which they'd like to practice interviewing for prior to the interview so you can prepare.  We will be happy to provide sample questions, but feel free to ask your own that you normally would during an interview. We suggest basic behavioral based questions (Tell me about a time when...), open ended questions (Tell me about yourself...., What are your strengths/weaknesses, etc) or questions the students would like to work on.
