Rutgers Law Alumni Networking Reception: "Inside the U.N. System" CLE
Join us for an evening of networking with fellow Rutgers alumni from 6-8 p.m. and a CLE program running from 6:40 to 7:40 p.m., offering 1 CLE credit (NY & NJ approved).
About the program: Inside the U.N. System: Investigating Torture, Shaping Accountability, and Training Advocates
This CLE program explores the work of the United Nations Committee Against Torture (“CAT”) and how international human rights law—particularly the UN Convention Against Torture (“UNCAT”)—operates not only globally but also within U.S. domestic legal frameworks. Drawing on experiential learning through the Center of Transnational Law, Professor Contesse shares key lessons from engaging law students in real-world human rights advocacy.
Please register to receive credit. Complimentary registration is available for attendees not seeking CLE credit.
